Bill's career started as a design engineer for a major European electronics company, then moving to the British Patent Office, working as a Senior Patent Examiner in charge of transistor circuitry, power supplies and communication subjects.

His practice is mainly divided between advice on patentability of inventions, and drafting and prosecuting patent applications. He also has litigation experience. With substantial experience in EPO matters, including informal interviews and Examination and Opposition Oral Proceedings, he has also conducted interviews and formal Hearings at the GB and US patent office.

With a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, he has expertise in circuitry, semiconductor fabrication, computer architecture and operation, software-related inventions, digital communications, free-space and waveguide optics, and automotive engineering.
