Thomas Leonard

Thomas attended Christ's College, University of Cambridge, where in 2004 he graduated with a BA honours degree in Natural Sciences (Pharmacology). In his final year project, Thomas investigated the trafficking of epitope-tagged P2X4 receptors in cultured HEK cells. He also undertook an additional part II in Management Studies, which included a Management Consultancy project at Cambridge Antibody Technology.
Thomas is involved in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in a wide range of technical specialities, including antibodies, therapeutic peptides, medical devices, electroporation, chemotherapy and quorum sensing. He has a particular interest in neurodegeneration, pain relief and pharmacology. Thomas is also involved in the prosecution of registered design applications, both in Europe and elsewhere in the world, and freedom-to-operate opinions.
After training for a Masters in Musical Theatre Performance at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Thomas joined the Life Sciences group of Kilburn & Strode in November 2006. He successfully completed the Certificate in Intellectual Property at Queen Mary College, University of London, in 2008. He qualified as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney, and became an associate of the firm, in 2010.
