Charlotte Hucker
Consultant
Charlotte has a MA Honours degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from Cambridge University. She is a European Patent Attorney and a UK Patent Attorney, and has over 20 years experience in the patent profession. Prior to joining Kilburn & Strode as a consultant in 2009, she was a partner at another leading London firm of patent attorneys, for over 10 years. Charlotte has experience acting for a diverse range of clients, in the fields of chemistry (including pharmaceutical chemistry), chemical engineering and materials science. More recently her work has been primarily for large multinationals. Her particular technical specialties include fluorocarbons; polyolefins and their uses in films and fibres; detergents; personal care products; and inks and printing techniques. She is highly experienced in European opposition practice, having represented clients in oral proceedings before both the Opposition Divisions and the Boards of Appeal of the EPO on many occasions, and has an impressive success rate. She frequently advises on freedom-to-practice issues, and has been involved in a number of due diligence exercises
