Juliet obtained a BEng honours degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Communications) from the University of Sheffield in 1988. She has worked both in private practice and industry (BT and Nokia) and joined Kilburn & Strode at the beginning of 2002. She is a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney, having qualified in 1995.

Juliet has experience of patent drafting and prosecution in a broad range of fields, including mobile telecommunications (GSM and WCDMA), data transmission systems, image processing, speech recognition and other software systems.

As well as drafting and prosecution, Juliet has appeared before the European Patent Office in opposition proceedings and carried out infringement and validity assessments, in particular to support licence negotiations.
