Nick Hedley

Nick has a Master's degree in Chemistry from Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, a European Patent Attorney, a Registered Trade Mark Agent and an authorised representative before OHIM (Office for the Harmonisation of the Internal Market).
Nick qualified as a Patent Agent in 1980. In 1982 he joined T. Z. Gold & Co and became a partner of that firm in 1985. That firm merged its practice with solicitors Stephenson Harwood, and Nick then qualified as a solicitor. In 2001 he joined Kilburn & Strode as a partner.
His main practice is in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, particularly before the European Patent Office in a diverse range of subject matters, mostly of a chemical nature. He has conducted numerous oppositions and appeals at the European Patent Office.
He is one of only a handful of Patent Attorneys who have also qualified as a solicitor and has done a considerable amount of work in licensing and exploiting intellectual property. He is a certified Patent Agent Litigator.
