Deborah Hart

Deborah obtained a BSc honours degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Reading in 1996. Her degree course included a year as an industrial trainee at Glaxo Wellcome plc. In 2001 she gained a MPhil following three years of research at University College London. This research in the area of molecular biology, involved reporter assay methods to quantify gene expression and immunological techniques to measure protein concentrations.
Deborah joined Kilburn & Strode in September 2000. Since that time, she has been involved in drafting and worldwide prosecution of patent applications, mainly in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology. She has also been involved in identifying new inventions for clients as well as monitoring and advising clients on competitor's patents. In 2002 she passed the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law course at Queen Mary College, University of London. Deborah qualified as a Charted Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2006.
