Martin Greenaway
Assistant
Martin graduated with a BSc in Physics and MSc in Modern and Applied Optics from the University of Reading in 1997 and 1998 respectively. His MSc involved spending three months at UKAEA Fusion in Culham designing and building a real-time automated alignment system for a high-power ruby laser. Martin gained a PhD from Magdalene College, University of Cambridge in 2002 in the field of Shock Physics. His thesis described the design, implementation and characterisation of a laser-based system for launching hypervelocity flyer plates. He spent a further three years at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge continuing his research, developing new projects and consulting on a wide variety of new technologies. Martin has presented his research at many international conferences all over the world and he played an active role in undergraduate teaching and admission at Magdalene College.
Martin joined Kilburn & Strode in October 2005 and is working as a Technical Assistant specialising in the fields of information technology, physics and electronics. In 2007 Martin obtained, with credit, the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, University of London. He qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2009.
