Heather Chapman
Assistant

Heather graduated with a MEng in Engineering and Materials Science from Oxford University in 2004. Her third year project was to build an experiment to show conductance on an electron scale through nanowires as a conducting material is pulled apart. Her fourth year research project related to optoelectronics, and she modelled and designed a fully optical switch using thin films intended for use in communication networks.

Heather entered the patent profession in 2006 after obtaining an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary College, University of London, where she achieved a distinction in patents. She joined Kilburn & Strode in 2007 and is working as a Technical Assistant specialising in the fields of information technology, electronics and physics.
