Ann Addison
Consultant
Ann has a BA Honours degree in Mathematics. She qualified as a patent agent in 1978, and has been working as a consultant since 1988. She is a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney, with a speciality in business methods and software related inventions. Ann’s work focuses mainly on the electronics field, although her expertise ranges from the most up-to-date microprocessor technology through advanced aerospace applications to medical applications and bicycle lamps. She concentrates primarily on patent drafting and prosecution for UK clients seeking European and UK patents, and has also been responsible for international filing programmes for various clients for inventions relating to electrical and mechanical engineering.
She has worked both in industry and in private practice, and she has undertaken work in all aspects of non-contentious intellectual property as well as having experience in patent litigation providing technical support in a UK infringement action for a client company in the telecommunications industry, and in copyright litigation for a client company in the automotive industry.
