Alexander Korenberg

Alexander read Physics at Imperial College, London, including a year abroad in France at the Ecole Nationale Superieure De Physique Grenoble and the ILL neutron source. Graduating in 1998 with First Class Honours he moved to University College London where he obtained a PhD in Computational Neuroscience in 2002. Alexander is a member of the Institute of Physics. He joined the patent profession in 2002.
Working in a wide range of technical fields, Alexander's client base spans a full range from start up and technology transfer companies, through SMEs to multinational corporate clients. Alexander's practice encompasses Life Science Instrumentation, Medical Physics and Bio-Engineering, Computer Operating Systems and Object Oriented Programming, Delivery of Entertainment Services, Wireless Communications and the Control of Electrical Machines.
He advises on all aspects of the patent life cycle, and undertakes prosecution and oppositions before the EPO at first instance and on appeal, as well as prosecution before the UKIPO. His particular focus is on working with his clients excavating and capturing inventions, setting up bespoke patenting strategies and coordinating worldwide patent portfolios.
Alexander is a contributing editor for "The Patents Training Manual" published by the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents. He gives an annual lecture on the European Patent Convention to trainee patent attorneys at Queen Mary University, London and provides bespoke training seminars. Alexander is fluent in German and French.
