History
Kilburn & Strode is a long established and leading London partnership of European Patent Attorneys, Chartered Patent Attorneys and Trade Mark Attorneys. The firm has grown from the efforts of B.E. Dunbar Kilburn who started in practice on his own account in 1906 in the Holborn area of London, then as now at the centre of the UK patent profession. He was joined in partnership several years later by Maurice Strode, giving the firm its name. The firm has expanded significantly since then and details of the current professional staff can be found under the Professional Profiles link on the left.
We have occupied a number of offices in the Holborn area and moved into the current offices in 1998. Our offices are close to the London Office of the British Patent Office and to the Law Courts. We are also close to the British Library which houses a large number of patent documents (specifications, gazettes, journals, etc.) from around the world, many of which are not available electronically.
